Bio
This half Jamaican / half Guyanese (UK born) musician started writing lyrics in 2002 and hasn’t looked back since! In 2006 he decided to start taking music seriously releasing his 1st of 6 underground mixtapes. Single releases from these mixtapes received National TV and Radio play. After 2 management deals, a publishing deal and a National UK tour, Liquid gained interest from Island Records / Universal Music Group.
Currently followed on twitter by;
Jeff Fenster – Executive Vice President of A&R at Warner Brothers Distribution
Lisa Davis – Music Executive to Atlantic Records / Interscope.
In 2009 Liquid started his own music management company and independent record label. The 1st release from the newly founded Flipside Label Limited was titled ‘No time for talk’. Very conscious of the fact that most artists from outside a major city mimic the rhyming styles and general vibe of known city rappers, Liquid aimed to create a completely different sound that truly reflected him and his surroundings. He’s now back with a brand new EP titled ‘Got a story to tell’ after a flurry of music videos in 2012. His diverse rapping style splits opinions in the UK underground with Liquid feeding off the ever growing hate and the concrete support. Refusing to be another puppet in the industry or follow musical trends, Liquid puts as much dedication into the growth of his own company / writing and producing for others as he does his own personal projects.
Look out for new music, new rap battle footage and new comedy articles from Liquid in 2013!
